Dear Industry Partners,
Greater Fort Lauderdale is resilient, and together we will move forward as a destination for a new day of travel. During this pivotal time as we reopen for visitors, we have a great opportunity to satisfy pent-up demand for wanderlust, while at the same time reassuring visitors that we are a safe destination.
In support of Broward County’s hospitality industry and business community, Visit Lauderdale is launching the Safe + Clean pledge in collaboration with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.
With this pledge, every tourism-related business in Broward County can let guests see that you have adopted Safe + Clean protocols. Together we can instill confidence among residents and travelers and most importantly, help stop the spread of COVID-19 so we can continue to welcome visitors.
As part of the pledge, we have joined the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance in supporting the newly launched SOB (Supporter of Broward) campaign, which has a strong focus on encouraging everyone to be safe while supporting local businesses. You’ll be seeing variations of the campaign throughout the area with signage including “Wear a Mask Like an SOB,” “I’m an SOB,” “Shop Like an SOB,” “Eat Like an SOB,” and more. We are including reference to the SOB (Supporter of Broward) campaign in our destination pledge for tourism and hospitality industry businesses.
We invite you to join us. Take the pledge. We are #GreaterTogether.
As Proud SOBs (Supporters of Broward) we PLEDGE to:
- Follow CDC Cleaning Protocols
- Wear Masks
- Provide Hand Sanitizer
- Practice Social Distancing
- Train Staff How to Be Safe + Clean
- Work Toward Contactless Payment
To learn more and take the pledge, please visit sunny.org/pledge. Once you complete the pledge, we will send you a poster to proudly display that you are committed to offering guests a Safe + Clean experience. And your listing on sunny.org will have the Safe + Clean logo.
We also want to showcase our partners taking safety precautions, such as practicing social distancing and implementing cleanliness initiatives. Please share your photos, including your Safe + Clean signage at your location, with us at gflmarketing@broward.org.
Sincerely,
Stacy Ritter
